Tower Bridge is one of the must-see destinations for the millions of tourists who visit the city of London each year. Whether you want to visit Tower Bridge to view the superb exhibition located within its upper walkway or simply to snap a photograph of this historic landmark, it is something that will be at the top of your list of things to see and do. The problem is, you won’t be alone. The bridge and the surrounding area, which includes the fascinating Tower of London, is a magnet for tourists and you may find yourself battling the crowds, particularly during the busy summer season.
If you want to beat the crowds, the best advice is to arrive early. The Tower Bridge Exhibition opens at 10 am in the summer and if you are there in good time, you should be able to avoid the queues. You will be able to visit the exhibition, enjoy the amazing views from the walkway and soak up the atmosphere without having to contend with crowds of fellow visitors, excitedly jostling to see the displays.
To avoid queuing at the ticket office, you can purchase some tickets online. Unfortunately, this isn’t an option if you want to take advantage of a reduced rate family ticket but it is perfect for buying individual tickets in advance. As the tickets are mailed out, you have to ensure you book early enough for them to reach you. Further details on online booking are available on the official website for Tower Bridge. Of course, if you are able to visit in the off-peak season during the winter months, you may find that there are fewer tourists around.
Another ideal way to beat the crowds, without getting up so early that your relaxation is ruined, is to find accommodation in the vicinity of the bridge. The Travelodge hotel near Tower Bridge is a great option as it’s located a mere 0.2 miles from the popular tourist attraction. The hotel offers budget accommodation without compromising on comfort. and the best of it is, you will be only a few short minutes’ walk away from some of London’s hottest tourist spots.

Whether traveling in cold weather or warm, these locations don’t disappoint!
1. Banff National Park- Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Banff National Park is Canada’s first and finest park. Located about an hour outside of Calgary, Alberta, Banff is just a stone’s throw away from the city, but is secluded enough to satisfy your outdoorsy side. Regardless of the season, enjoy the beautiful landscape, the towering mountains, and the tourist center. In the summer months, take a dip in the glacial blue lake!
2. Vieux Quebec- Also known as Old Quebec, this city is over 400 years old and packed with history. Visit the lower town to stroll through the Notre Dame des Victoires church, or travel to the upper town to site-see at the 19th century Citadel. The cobblestone streets are as full of life as they are littered with history-packed museums.
3. Kelowna, British Columbia- The popular vacation spot of locals, Kelowna is nestled deep in the heart of the Rockies and Okanagan Valley. Warm in the summer and mild in the winter, the valley offers some of Canada’s most favorable weather. Enjoy the famous B.C. apples and wine, neither of which are allowed in the U.S., and spend some time on the crystal blue marina.
4. Quebec City, Quebec- This is as close as you’ll get to visiting France without actually going there! Loaded with history and speckled with breathtaking architecture, Quebec City is the place to be if you want to immerse yourself in the Canadian lifestyle. One of the last walled cities in the world, this is the place to be!
5. The Eastern Townships, Quebec- While in Quebec, travel through dozens of tiny villages and townships that make up Eastern Quebec. Nestled between valleys, orchards, and glacial lakes, these villages are rich with culture and offer a unique experience to tourists of every kind. It may be worth keeping your credits cards and documents in a safe place, just in case.
6. Icefields Parkway- This 142 mile stretch of highway is best described as glorious. The Parkway offers dozens of chances to stop, walk, and explore. You may even be lucky enough to get in touch with the wildlife, as caribou and grizzly bears are often seen by the roadside. The southbound view is strikingly different than the northbound trip, so traveling the Parkway round trip is the best way to experience the scenery.

It has long been rumoured that Agatha Christie stayed at the Hotel Sis Pins whilst writing her novel, Problem at Pollensa Bay, but it takes staying at this marvellous hotel to get a feel for whether or not this is true. Some say she still returns to visit this lovely port on the Mediterranean and they feel the presence of her literary genius as they sit and watch the view from the private veranda on the coastal side of the hotel. Even so, it doesn’t take a psychic to ‘feel’ the long history of arts and culture in Puerto Pollensa as the evidence is all around.
There are museums and galleries to explore, some with artwork dating back many centuries. For example, the Yannick & Ben Jakober Foundation has a collection of sculpture and art that is well worth booking a holiday in Puerto Pollensa just to see. Located in nearby Alcudia on the amazingly beautiful Coll Baix Peninsula, the gallery boasts a collection of more than 150 portraits of children done by European artists and these date back to the 16th through 19th centuries and are truly amongst some of the world’s most breathtakingly beautiful pieces of art.
What you may enjoy equally well is where the collection is housed! Many people spend as much time examining the underground water reservoir that had been converted into the gallery where the paintings are exhibited as they do actually viewing the paintings themselves. Some galleries are located in Puerto Pollensa itself whilst others are just a short ride away. In any case, whether you are looking for historic arts and culture or are simply looking for a contemporary piece to bring along home with you, the knowledgeable English speaking staff at the Hotel Sis Pins can point you in the right direction.

There are a variety of hotels or accommodations in the city. Individuals looking to visit Banff will need to find accommodations that meet their needs and fit their budgets. This will be different for everyone. Some people will be able to afford higher prices hotels. Other people will need to find something cheaper. Whatever the case, it will be important that an individual find something that they are comfortable with. There are enough options in the city that this should not be much of a problem.
One of the best ways to find appropriate Banff accommodations is to check out websites that list them. This makes things so much easier. Rather then visiting numerous websites, a person only needs to look at one and get all of the information they need regarding the hotel, including pricing, rooms and accommodations.
Banff is a great city. It is terrific for skiing and for people who enjoy spending time outdoors. Winter sports are popular there and with good reason. The mountains make the perfect play place for both adults and kids who enjoy playing in the snow. Individuals that decide to visit will find that the local accommodations are more than adequate. In fact, some are quite nice.

Said to be the birthplace of Aphrodite, goddess of love, this beautiful island is a sun-worshippers heaven – and it’s easy to see why so many holidaymakers fall in love with it.
With more than enough sun, sea and sand to keep even the most demanding of beach-lovers happy, holidays to Cyprus have got everything you need for that perfect break. Soft white sands, warm shallow shores and year-round sun, not to mention delicious local fare and plenty of traditional tavernas – what could be better than watching the sun go down on another beautiful day with a cool, refreshing cocktail?
But it gets better. If you like historical sights, you’re in for a real treat. Explore the island’s quaint fishing villages, wander along one of its pretty harbours or hire a car and venture into the beautiful Troodos mountain range, where you can explore its Byzantine monasteries and mountain-top churches.
Best of all, when it comes to great holidays, Cyprus has all the trimmings of a luxury holiday but without the lavish price tag. You’ll find cheap Thomas Cook holidays in Cyprus to accommodate a range of tastes and budgets, from quiet retreats and simple self-catering apartments, to centrally located hotels in the most popular resorts.

Magadan is one of these places, which is situated in the Eastern part of Russia. The city is administrative center of Magadanskaya area and has population of 98.9 thousand citizens. It is located in the shores of the Gulf Nagaev and Gertner Gulf of Okhotsk Sea on 59 degrees North. Really the place is not highly popular for the tourists, as usually the temperatures during the winter are too low and the summer is too wet and rainy, but in any case there are a few interesting and attractive thing, which can be seen there. Magadan is important economic, cultural and scientific center of the Magadanskaya area. There are a few plants for fish processing, manufacturing plants and industrial factories. In any case the fishing and the metal industry are well developed and bringing the economy of the region. Also the city is important port of the country and the maritime transport is pretty good developed. The city is connected with the outside world by land only once, as the closest city is Yakutsk, which is located 2000 km away from Magadan.
In Magadan are situated the complex Northeast Research Institute, the Research Institute of Biological Problems of the North, Northern International University, some libraries and museums, which are attraction for the people in the city and for the adventure travelers, who are interested in seeing this place of the world. Definitely it is interesting to see this part of the world, because it has own standard of living and really interesting culture and architecture. In spite of the low standard of living and bad network and transport connection, the landscapes are beautiful and you can be impressed by the picturesque images, which appears in front of your eyes.
